I just love old-time traditional and bluegrass music. There are people so poor and so isolated they can't even read or write their own names, but they can sing, tell stories, and pass this music down generation after generation. This blog is dedicated to them, and to their champions.

Thanks for dropping by! The view is along I-68 in western Maryland, near what's called Sideling Hill. Sideling is a bit of a geologic attraction, you might say. If ever you have occasion to head east on wheels, traveling 68 is not only convenient and less congested, but affords you a stop at the Sideling Hill visitor area after you pass through the impressive rock exposure left from cutting the path for the highway.

Ohhh... I've driven through there several times on my way to Northern Virginia. A much better route than the Pennsylvania Tpk. It really is a very pretty area!
